RULING
The Applicant was found guilty of the offence of stealing contrary to Section 268(1) as read with Section 275 of the Penal Code and sentenced to 6 months in custody.
A sentence review report dated 17th October, 2024 by Ramadhan Mohamed stated that the file had been overtaken by events as the Applicant has already been released from prison. His earliest prison release date was 13th October 2024.
Having considered the Sentence Review Report, I find that since the Applicant has already served his sentence and been released, the Application has been overtaken by events and therefore, the Application is dismissed.
