SENTENCE REVIEW

1. This matter is before me for purposes of revision under the decongestion exercise by the Judiciary vide memo dated 13th March 2024.
2. The convict was sentenced on 25/11/2023 to a fine of Ksh 30000. And to compensate the complainant Ksh 35,000 in default 2 years’ imprisonment. He was arrested on 19/11/2023 and presented to court on 20/11/2023
3. I have perused the Probation Report filed on 18th March 2024. It is recommended that the offender serves Community Service for 18 months at Mangani Sub location office where he will be supervised by the assistant chief
4. The Recommendation is accepted and the offender’s sentence is revised so that he will serve the remainder of the sentence reduced to 18 months on Community Service. The CSO Officer to facilitate reconciliation between the parties.
5 . A community Service order to issue accordingly.
