2024 AT THE CHIEF MAGISTRATE’S COURT AT SHANZU)
- The accused person herein has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm contrary to Section 251 of the Penal Code. The accused pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years imprisonment.
- A Sentence Review Report by Boytone Omondi on the 22nd November 2024, stated that the inmate’s expected release date is 7th June 2025. The inmate has reflected on his life and has modelled good morals behaviourally. He commits to live responsibly and to not be in conflict with the law again. The inmate’s family is based in Mumias, Kakamega County and has shown commitment to help his resettle and reintegrate at home. The inmate in willing to serve a non-custodial sentence.
- In light of the above findings, the sentence is reviewed to the time already spent and community service for the remainder of his sentence at Likoni Chief’s Office.
