(From the original conviction and sentence in Nyando Senior Principal Magistrate Criminal Case No. E538 of 2021)
1. The convict Moses Odeny and 2 others were sentenced to serve 3 years, one year in prison and 2 years on probation respectively, for the offence of manslaughter contrary to Section 202 as read with Section 205 of the Penal Code.2. Of the one (1) year imprisonment, they have served six (6) months’ imprisonment.
3. In the spirit of prison decongestion, I hereby revise the prison sentence and order the convict released from prison to serve 21/2 years on probation to be supervised at Nyando Probation Office.
