JACOB MUTHOMI KAIRI VS THE TRUSTEES OF THE METHODIST CHURCH IN KENYA AND PRESIDING BISHOP OF THE METODIST CHURCH IN KENYA AND 3 Others

High Court at Mombasa High Court · · Jairus Ngaah

'I have read the applicant''s application dated 3 October 2025. The applicant sought the application to be certified urgent to stop the elections that were scheduled to be held in less than two days from the date of filing the application. I''ve not found any satisfactory reason why the application could not be filed earlier. Nonetheless, if the elections were held as scheduled, the urgency has been overtaken by events and, therefore, there is no basis to certify the application urgent. I direct that the application be served for directions on 11 November 2025. It is so ordered.'
