SENTENCE REVIEW
From TAWA MCCRC E188 of 2022
1. This matter is before me for purposes of revision under the decongestion exercise by the Judiciary vide memo dated 13th March 2024.
2. The convict was sentenced on 2/8/2022 on two counts: on the 1st one, 5 years’ imprisonment, on the 2nd one, 2 years imprisonment to run consecutively. That makes it 7 years in total.
3. I have perused the Probation Report filed on 18th March 2024. It is recommended that the offender serves Community Service for 18 months at Woyani Primary School under the supervision of the School Principal
4. The offender has more than three years to go as the direction is to review sentences three years and below.
5. The Recommendation is rejected.
6. The Offender to await the next review cycle.
