SENTENCE REVIEW From TAWA MCCRC E90 of 2022
1. This matter is before me for purposes of revision under the decongestion exercise by the Judiciary
vide memo dated 13th March 2024.
2. The convict was sentenced on13/10/2022 to imprisonment for three (3) years for the killing of his
brother.He was arrested on 20/3/2022 and presented to court on 4/4/2022
3. I have perused the Probation Report filed on 18th March 2024. It is recommended that the
offender serves Community Service for 6 months at Kitondo Primary School. I have noted that
the offenders two children attend school at the same school. I note that the Probation
Officer has not identified a supervisor, hence the offender will be supervised by Ms. Ruth
Ndawa Probation Officer Mbooni.
4. The Recommendation is accepted and the offender’s sentence is revised so that he will serve the
remainder of the sentence reduced to 8 months on Community Service.
5 . A Community Service Order to issue accordingly.
