The Applicant was convicted of the offence of robbery with violence contrary to Section 295 as read Section 296 (2) of the Penal Code. The trial court sentenced him to serve 5 years imprisonment. The Applicant has served 1 year and 8 months of his sentence. He is remaining with 1 year after remission, to complete his sentence. The Sentence Review Report filed on 3rd September 2024 by Senior Probation Officer Nelson Maroa recommends a non-custodial sentence. I hereby direct that the Applicant shall serve a Community Service Order at Ikonge D.O.K. Primary School under the supervision of the Probation Officer Mr. Nelson Maroa and the School Head.
Orders accordingly.
