The Applicant was convicted on his own plea of guilty for the offence of preparation to commit a felony contrary to Section 308 (1) of the Penal Code. The trial court sentenced him to serve seven (7) years’ imprisonment. The Applicant has served 3 years and 4 months and is remaining with 1 year and 4 months after remission to complete his sentence. The Sentence Review Report filed on 3rd September 2024 by Senior Probation Officer Jackline Mwei does not recommend a non-custodial sentence. I hereby direct that the Applicant shall continue to serve the remainder of his sentence in custody.
Orders accordingly.
