I have considered the notice motion dated 24/9/2024 which seeks for orders of release of the Applicant under the Probation of Offenders Act and the Community Service Order and I do note that the Applicant was convicted of a Sexual Offence in Maseno Sexual Offence No. 7/2017 and sentence to 20 years.  His sentence was reduced to 15 years in Miscellaneous Criminal Application No. 63/2023.  There is no basis for the current application and in light of the recent guidelines in muruatetu of this application is hereby dismissed for want of merit.
