This matter is before me for purposes of revision under the decongestion exercise by the Judiciary vide memo dated 13th March 2024.
The offender pleaded guilty to theft of beans valued at Ksh 2000. He was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment.
The PACs officer finds him unsuitable for a non custodial sentence. .
The Sentence is revised to a fine of Ksh 2500 in default 3 months imprisonment. Default sentence to run from the date of arrest , that is , 15/1/2024.
