RULING
- The accused is charged with the offence of murder under Section 204 of the Penal Code.
- After the plea was taken, he prayed that he be released on bond.
- The probation did not object save to request that the same be reasonable.
- The court asked for a Bail Information Report and the same prepared by Emmanuel Kemboi dated 4th October 2024 was availed.
- I have read the report and the same is favourable to the accused person. I note from the report that the family of the victim particularly has no objection to the accused being granted bail.
- In the circumstances, given the gravity of the offence, I now hereby grant the accused person a personal bond of Ksh. 500,000/= with 1 surety of a like amount.
- Right to appeal 14 days.
