RULING ON SENTENCE
I have considered, the nature of the offence , the circumstances and the pre-sentence report. The report indicates that he is a very violent man in the community. The community is negative about him and the victims are still bitter with him . A non -custodial sentence is thus not the best . I have considered that an innocent life was lost in the incident over frivolous matter. Accused save the time of this court by entering into a plea bargain I proceed custodial sentence is necessary to correct accused. I proceed to sentence accused to 7 years imprisonment. The sentence to be computed from 6.7.22 when he was first arraigned in court and remanded in custody till completion .
