1. I have considered the application dated 23rd September, 2025 seeking entry of judgment against the clients for KShs.4,682,161.08 plus interest at 14% from 11th August, 2025 until payment in full.
2. I note that despite service upon the client as evidenced by the affidavits of service sworn on 5th October, 2025, 25th February, 2026 and 22nd April, 2026 the client has not filed any response to the application. The same is therefore unopposed.
3. The advocate has attached the advocate-client Bill of Costs dated 30th January, 2025. I have equally seen the Certificate of Taxation for costs of KShs.4,682,161.08. It is clear that no appeal or reference has been filed and as such no ground exists to decline the said application.
4. On interest, while the same was not provided for in the Bill of Costs, this court nonetheless has discretion to allow such interest under the Civil Procedure Act, which I do hereby allow on account of the period that the advocate has been unpaid. Accordingly, the application dated 23rd September, 2025 is allowed as prayed.
