RULING
1. Whereas this file had been listed for revision of the applicant’s sentence in line with the judiciary’s prison decongestion exercise, I have upon perusal of the trial file MCTRE 998/2026, established that the applicant Samwel Osiemo was convicted of the offence of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol contrary to sections 44 (1) as read with section 44 (2) of the Traffic Act CAP 403 of the Laws of Kenya and was sentenced on 20.2.2026 to a fine of Ksh 30,000 or 3months custodial sentence and his driving licence was suspended for 1 month.
2. The applicant has since served his sentence.
3. Premised upon the reasons aforesaid, this file is hereby marked as closed.
