1. I have considered the application for and against adjournment. This matter has come up twice for hearing but has not taken off at the instance of the defence.
2. The matter is more than 1 year old. The last time the matter was in Court was on 8/10/2025. We are not told when the new Counsel was appointed. The accused cannot wait until the day of the hearing or near day thereof to appoint an Advocate. That cannot be a reason for adjournment.
3. Mr. Lore has been on record ever since the plea was taken. He can proceed and prosecute the matter without assistance. That reason for adjournment is hereby declined.
4. However, since Mr. Lore indicates that he is bereaved, I will grant the adjournment but mark the same as the last adjournment on the part of the defence.
5. The case will now proceed for hearing on 25th and 26th February, 2026 and 5th March, 2026.
