The application dated 10.02.2023 is made under section 52 of the Advocates Act. It is not opposed despite being served. Upon service the Respondent’s advocate complained that the matter had been closed by the order of 22.03.2023. The order closed the file for purposes of the online system but did not debar the Advocates from filing the application for judgment.
I therefore allow the application dated 10.02.2023 on terms that Judgment is entered for the Advocates against the Client for the sum of Kshs. 20,545,344.00 with interest thereon at 14% p.a from 29.03.2019 until payment in full. The Respondent shall pay costs of Kshs. 15,000.00.
