Court: the offender assaulted his father and was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment. PACSs states that he is unsittable for non custodial sentence because he is a drug addict who needs to be severely punished.
That cannot be a solution. Prison is not a treatment centre or rehabilitation centre and PACs must do its job the enlighten members of the society about that.
This matter is escalated to the County Probation Officer for further investigations and recommendations. Mention before the DR on 29th April 2024
