In the Notice of Motion dated 09.05.2023 seeks registration of a judgment delivered in Rwanda under the Foreign Judgment (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act. The under the applicable rules, the application may be heard exparte. I am satisfied that the statutory requirements have been met by the Applicant. The application is allowed on the terms that the Judgment delivered on 31.07.2018 at the Commercial Court at Kigali, Rwanda in RCOM00586/2018/TC (ex RCOM0017/2018/TC/NYGE) be and is hereby registered as a judgment. The costs of the application assessed at Kshs. 50,000.00 shall be paid by the Respondent. Orders accordingly.
