I have read the applicants' application dated 7 September 2026 filed under a certificate of agency of even date. I gather from the application that the criminal proceedings sought to be stayed were instituted way back in May 2025. In these circumstances, I am not satisfied that the application should be certified urgent more than a year after the event and admitted for hearing during this Honourable court's current recess. I direct that the application together with the petition be served upon the respondents and the interest party for directions on the manner of their disposal in the new term, more particularly on 22 September 2026.
