The Fair Administrative Action Rules, 2024 clearly spell out the manner of filing of application under the Fair Administrative Action Act. It is the duty of the court and legal practitioners to embrace the changes in law that make access to justice easier and convenient.
There is no requirement for leave to apply for Judicial Review orders sought under the Administrative Action Act.
Accordingly, I decline to certify the application dated 21/1/2025 as urgent.
I further decline to consider the merits of that application which is struck out and the applicant is directed to file pleadings in accordance with the Fair Administrative Action Rules, 2024.
