1. I have read the petition for a special limited grant dated 9th December 2025, and the joint affidavit sworn by Ms Mary Mungari Muiruri and Michelle Kendi Mutegi on the said date. I have also considered the annexures thereto.
2. I note that Patrick Mutegi Kanake died on 14th July 2025. His two children are in college and junior school and need money for school fees. That being the case there is an urgent need for funds to pay their fees.
3. In the circumstances, I allow the petition for a limited grant dated 9th December 2025. I order that a special limited grant be issued to the petitioners forthwith, limited for the purposes of collecting, managing, and applying assets of the Deceased's Estate to meet the costs of school fees, educational expenses, and general upkeep of the Children of the deceased.
4. I further order that a petition for the full grant be filed within 90 days of the date hereof, failing which the grant issued herein will lapse automatically.
