1. Upon perusal of the notice of motion dated 3/10/24, the supporting affidavit of Hellen Agutu Okeyo sworn on even date and the enclosures thereto I am persuaded that the Applicant has acted diligently and properly in her role as the guardian of the subject Dorcas Patricia Mirembe Oluoch Okeyo wherefore I find that this application is well merited as it has been demonstrated by the attached medical reports of Dr. Michael Ssonko ranging from 23.11.2023 to 1.10.24, the physiotherapy reports from Rehab World Physiotherapy services and the laboratory reports that the subject is still suffering from dementia characteristical of a mental disorder as defined under section 2 of the Mental Health Act CAP 248 Laws of Kenya. I am thus persuaded that this court ought to extend orders made on 13th October 2023 for a period of 1 year from the date hereof.
