From the pleadings by the applicant in the chamber summons dated 7/10/2025, it was not possible to tell whether these proceedings involve investigations into alleged proceeds of crime.
Upon the 1 st Respondent filing the replying affidavit sworn by Bedford Muriuki on 4/11/2025, it is apparent that the matter involves investigations into alleged proceeds of crime.
That being the case, and as there is a dedicated Division of the High Court at Milimani Law Courts charged with the mandate of hearing and determining matters relating to proceeds of Crime and Money Laundering and Anti-Corruption and economic crime matters.
I hereby direct that this matter be forthwith transferred to the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Division of the High Court at Milimani Law Courts for hearing and final determination.
