Application dated 10.6.2024 has been considered together with the proceedings, judgment and sentence in the lower court and same is dismissed. The trial Judge while passing sentence on 21.9.2022 said: -
“…. The deceased life was lost in most cruel manner at eth hands of the applicant and his co-accused on mere suspicion of witchcraft. Such acts must be strongly condemned because they are prevalent in this area. People must learn not to take the law into their own hands for acts they cannot even prove but follow due process.”
The deceased left a family who lost love and care. A charge of murder is very serious and attracts a death sentence. Applicant to serve the 15 years.
