This matter is before me for purposes of revision under the decongestion exercise by the Judiciary vide memo dated 13th March 2024.
I have perused the record. The offender was arrested on 5/5/2021, and was convicted on 5/10/2023 for theft by servant to 4 years' imprisonment. The amount said to have been stolen was just about Ksh 154,000.
The PACs report proposes 2 years and 2 months probation supervision. I have seen from the record that the offender was in custody all the while.
The sentence is revised to period already served. She is to be set at liberty forthwith unless otherwise legally held.
